Budgetarian Holidays

For the previous years na notice ko umaabot ng halos 2K yung nagagastos ko during the Noche Buena and Medya Noche, each yan ha. Looking back, bakit ba laki nyan eh 5 lang kami sa bahay and that time di pa nga kumakain si Gean . So for this year I will consider the budget na din .

Here is my planned spread for Christmas and NewYear

Noche Buena  (800)
                                Green Salad  80
Sweet Lechon Manok ( Chooks to go) 200
Beef Caldereta 250
Black Forest Cake 390
Sangria 50( we already have wine at home)

Medya Noche (800)
Nilagang Baka 100
Bacon Wrapped Ham 150
Arroz Valenciana  90 (we malagkit at home already)
Pasta Carbonara 80 ( we have pasta na)
Crema de Fruta Ref cake 100 (we have fruit cocktail and condense)
Fruit Punch 20 ( we have juice at home)

Though for Noche Buena we will have to think pa kung saan kami. But I will stick to the 800 budget. As for the fruits they will be on a separate budget, I have raket kasi of selling fruits during the Holidays, we usually utilize the tirnag fuits. Wish me luck.

Kayo ano plans nyo for noche buena and medya noche ?

I have my own grown up Christmas list yung hindi nabibili ng salapi yung nakalagay. Pero to satisfy the kid in me I still have a wishlist . Afterall masarap naman talaga makatangap ng gift during the holidays. And if St. Nick goes on the world wide web to read Christmas wishlist, sana mabasa niya tong akin. Santa snail mail is so yesterday na kasi, I hope you have an email na. Hahahaha.

1.       2018 Planner

It was faux leather  na may tuffed design, its available in black and brown clean and classy but not boring. I also love kasi may part with financial table siya with-in the pages.  159 lang ato yun. Happy na ako dyan as in

Christmas Gift Diskarte

How Christmas season going for you?

For mommies like me I’m pretty sure pressured nanaman tayo . I know this season as isa sa mga pinakabusy season for all . Yun kids busy sa parties , yung kalsada busy sa traffic even the palaboys sa city busy manglimos. Dumadami talaga sila dito to CDO if Ber months , parang excursion to the city ata yun ng mga Badjao bros and sis natin pag bermonths .

Going back to moms, the reality of most families kasi it’s the moms talaga natatambakan ng workload for Christmas. One of the tasks is Christmas shopping for gifts.

Last year I made a last minute Christmas Gift shopping sa Robinson and OMG. My credit card was so wasak afterwards, asides that ka stress yung linya sa cashier parang may pabigas si mayor. Wrong move for me and I’ve learned my lesson.

I am proud to say, asides my office and village Party wherein hindi pa kami nagkapagdraw ng names , I’m done with my gift shopping. That for me such a domestic achievement na at the first week of December pa lang done na ako.

Here are my diskarte for this year :

1.       Do it earlier
Last year I went gift shopping around mid December na . OMG kastress ang traffic and lines at the cashier. Tapos parang naging amazing race yung pag pick ng gifts. Kaya this year I did it earlier. Last week of November to 1st week of December.

2.       Set a Budget
Have a cap per group. Hahaha may grouping talaga . I go like this :
Group
Max Budget
Pax
Kids
100
14
Officemates
100
13
Relatives
80
7
Neighbours
50
10

PS : Barat lola mo it’s at 100 max. Oh well it’s the thought that counts diba? And mind you mapili ako  . I make sure I got bang for buck for my choices. I was also able to buy gifts actually lower than budget.  As for Immediate family - husband, baby , moms and dad , I splurged a little , hindi ko na nilagay sa list. Yung friends naman .... hahaha sorry friends my gift for you this year is “Just Love” . Anyways most of my friends are far away naman so hindi ako masisingil. :D . Or else i’ll invite them to eat my house nalang.

3.         Choose from the Bargain Bin
I shopped in budget and discount stores this year namely Gaisano , Kaking and Shopwise . Amazingly I saw many items at the bargain bin nila na swak or even lower than the budget ko. At OK pa

4.       Think your gifts through
Your gift should be useful and age appropriate.  Last year yung pinamigay ko sa kids wallet na may laman money. Yun pinangbili ng kids ng Candies and tossed out the wallet . Wala pa kasi sila sa age na nakakaappreciate sila ng money. This year I went for clothing and ,undies ,towels and books for those kiddos.

5.       Go online
It saves you the hassle of going thru traffic and long lines. I got my little tot gifts from Shopee  ph. Educational toys and trinkets , nageffort talaga aketch sa “I can teach my child” churva. Hubby also got him those Led light Shoes at Shopee din .Galing padaw yun ng China ,fingers crossed sana OK yung item.  I am going to feature Shopee in a separate post by the way . So far my purchases are good value for money.

6.       Take Advantage of Free Gift Wrapping
Lots of malls and bigger stores now offer free gift wrapping for as low as 100 peso worth of purchase. So go ahead walang limit sa laki ng item , upon check-out divide mo na yung items for the minimum kasi isang item lang pwede ewrap per receipt.  Kasi I don’t want hubby to know what my gift was I had them wrapped at the mall. That way hindi na ako mastress sa paghide nung gift .Ayon nakadisplay na siya under our tree .

7.       Go for Gift Cards/Coupons
SM, Robinsons , Gaisano, National Bookstore and lots of other establishments offers gift cards . Some may frown on this idea since it may seem like you were just so tired to think of a gift but hey happy is he who receives the gift card. He/she will have the option to buy something he/she really likes. Win win ika nga.

I hope my own diskarte above helps you this season para less stress tayo.Personally I want this season one of happiness not of stress as experience ko last year. I will be posting my Noche Buena Plan soon too , hope you read on.

XOXO

A Grateful Heart

I am sorry for the long blog hiatus . Kelan ba ako last my entry? Life has taken over guys and wala akong signal sa bahay , only recently nabalik access ko sa work for blogger so I can blog na on my free time. Kaya eto tayo ngayon guys.

Grabbed from google -credits to owner

Anyway let me restart my blogging with this

I've been struggling with gloomy feelings due to my red days alam mo naman paano tayo mga girls during those days . I have been craving chocolates outrageously as in nibble akong ng nibble sa Black O (Masarap at murang chocolate something)and chocolate bars Now I'm finally free :D . I am out of the gloom and into the light and I have lots of reasons to be thankful.

I love my husband. I thank him for taking charge while I could not bear any household chores for the past days .Thanks for comforting me bisan dili nimo masabtan ngano emo ko .You were asking "Unsa diay imong gihunahuna ?"( What are you thinking about?) and I couldn't give  an answer because I was not in the right state mind .It has been running wild thinking of 101 ways life can go wrong. He was always willing to snuggle and gave kisses on the forehead

I am very thankful to Daddylo and Mommyla who is with  the little one all daywhile while we are away . Helping us out in every way and making sure that tyke is healthy and happy.

Yesterday ,after work, I came home to a child waiting for his mom on the doorstep. As I approached the gate , he jumped and shouted in glee at the sight of me. I am very thankful for the bond between mother and child - pure love.

I  leave with this short and sweet prayer

Lord, I thank you for this day of life and one more day to love. Amen

PS.Now I will be eating oatmeal na. I'm shutting my chocolate cravings away until next red days that is

Thanks for taking the time to care and read this blog. I hope you to will start off with a grateful heart too.

XOXO,
